PR Campaign Proposal - Female Representation in F1

Last year, for a Public Relations class I took at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, we were tasked with developing a hypothetical PR campaign for our final project. The project required us to choose a company or business that was suffering from an image problem and create a 12-month PR proposal to address the issue. I decided to choose Formula One, which, while growing significantly in popularity at the time, continued to receive criticism for its lack of female representation.

My campaign focused on using Formula 1’s established multimedia platforms and relevant publics to increase female interest in the sport and gradually reshape its image into a more inclusive environment. I am extremely proud of this project and received lots of positive feedback from my professor.
